Department of Physics Education, FMIPA UNY. At the graduation period on November 25 2017, 46 students were graduated. The graduates consisted of 26 people from the physics education study program and 20 people from the physics study program. Following are the names of the prospective graduates:

The UNY team consisted of Garin Alkautsar Razid (FT/ PT Mekatronika), Satrio Sigit Purnomo (FT/ PT Machine), Fitrianto Hakim (FT/ PT Elektonika), Futri Nadyaturrohmah (FBS/ English Literature) and Arnum Sari Khoirunnisa (FMIPA/ Physics ) under the guidance of Dr.Eng.

How to make learning Physics fun and how to implement it in everyday life is a challenge for the younger generation, especially students. Until now, physics lessons are still a scourge for students. So we need interesting applications so that elementary, middle school, high school students, etc. can be welcomed by students and make learning fun. This was conveyed by the Chancellor of Yogyakarta State University, Prof. Dr.

Bagaimana menjadikan pembelajaran Fisika menjadi menyenangkan dan bagaimana implementasi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari merupakan tantangan bagi generasi muda terutama mahasiswa. Sampai saat ini pelajaran fisika masih menjadi momok bagi para siswa. Jadi perlu aplikasi-aplikasi yang menarik supaya siswa SD, SMP, SMA dll dapat disambut baik oleh para siswa dan menjadi pelajaran yang menyenangkan. The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Yogyakarta State University (FMIPA UNY) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Physics Research Center of the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI), Friday 7/4/17 at FMIPA UNY. Memorandum of understanding signed by the Dean of FMIPA, Dr. Hartono and Dr. Bambang Widiyatmoko from LIPI which is about Research and Education in the Fields of Physics, Laser Applications, Optoelectronics, Geophysics and Materials Science.

Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (FMIPA UNY) menandatangani nota kesepahaman dengan Pusat Penelitian Fisika Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia (LIPI), Jumat 7/4/17 di FMIPA UNY. Nota kesepahaman yang ditandatangani oleh Dekan FMIPA, Dr. Hartono dan Dr. Bambang Widiyatmoko dari LIPI yaitu tentang Penelitian dan Pendidikan di Bidang Fisika, Aplikasi Laser, Optoelektronika, Geofisika dan Sains Material.

In this even semester, 6 students from the Faculty of Technology and Agriculture, Yala Rajabhat University (YRU) Thailand took part in the credit transfer program at FMIPA UNY. They are divided into 2 departments, namely 3 people study in the Physics Education Department and 3 people study in the Chemistry Education Department.

Pada semester genap ini, sebanyak 6 orang mahasiswa dari Fakulty of Technologyand Agriculture, Yala Rajabhat University (YRU) Thailand mengikuti program transfer kredit di FMIPA UNY. Mereka terbagi 2 Jurusan yaitu 3 orang kuliah di Jurusan Pendidikan Fisika dan 3 orang di Jurusan Pendidikan Kimia.
