The Department of Physics Education, FMIPA UNY, has two undergraduate study programs (Undergraduate of Physics Education and Undergraduate of Physics) and one master study program (Master of Physics Education). In December 2021, the three study programs that initially had "A "accreditation have now received excellent accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT).
