Professor of Physics Education UNY Recognized Among the World’s Top 5% Scientists by SciRank Global 2025

The Undergraduate Physics Education Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), has once again achieved an international accomplishment. One of its distinguished lecturers, Prof. Dr. Heru Kuswanto, has been recognized among the World’s Top 5% Scientists in the SciRank Global Registry 2025.

Physics Education Study Program, FMIPA UNY Earns Full International Accreditation from ASIIN

The Physics Education Study Program, Department of Physics Education, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Yogyakarta State University, has officially achieved full international accreditation from ASIIN (Accreditation Agency for Study Programs in Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences and Mathematics), Germany. The accreditation certificate was issued on 14 October 2025 and is valid from 23 September 2024 until 30 September 2030.

Training on the Fabrication of Cellulose Extraction Processes from Tea Waste and the Fabrication of Nanocrystalline Cellulose-Based Bioplastics for Adiwiyata School Teachers in Yogyakarta City as an Effort to Combat Plastic Waste

In addressing the priority issues identified in the dissemination and training on the production of bioplastic materials based on nanocrystalline cellulose from tea waste as an effort to combat plastic waste in the environment of SMAN 5 Yogyakarta, a comprehensive solution framework was proposed. The framework is systematically designed to address the high percentage of plastic waste in Indonesia, which causes environmental pollution given that plastic waste is non-biodegradable.

The Melawi Regency Government through the Education and Culture Office held a workshop on the use of Excel for physical and multiple representation simulations in collaboration with Yogyakarta State University (UNY).

This activity took place on 30 to 31 July 2025 in Nanga Pinoh and was opened by the Head of the Melawi Regency Education and Culture Office, Yussenno, S.Pd., M.M.
