Dr. Yusman Wiyatmo, M.Si is one of the Lecturers in the Department of Physics Education, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) UNY together with Dr. Pujianto, M.Pd, and Dr. Supardi, M.Si as members of the service team carried out Community Service (PkM) activities. The PkM activity carried out was earthquake disaster mitigation training for the Karangmojo Purwomartani Kalasan Sleman hamlet community. The PkM activity was carried out on July 14-15, 2024 at the RT O9 Hall of Citra Ringin Mas Housing, Karangmojo Hamlet, Purwomartani Village, Kalasan District, Sleman Regency. The purpose of this activity is to increase awareness and preparedness of the community in facing earthquakes. The resource persons for this activity consisted of 3 lecturers from the Department of Physics Education, namely: Dr. Yusman Wiyatmo, M.Si, Dr. Pujianto, M.Pd, and Dr. Supardi, M.Si. This activity also involved 5 students of the Department of Physics Education to participate in the PkM activity. The training materials include: earthquake disasters and their impacts, earthquake preparedness, and how to mitigate them. The activity was opened by the Head of RT 09 RW 03 Dusun Karangmojo (Mr. Suwardi). The activity was attended by 50 residents of Dusun Karangmojo. Participants were very enthusiastic about participating in this activity from the beginning to the end of the activity.
