Department of Physics Holds Training on Compilation and Analysis of Physics Question Items
Primary tabs
A teacher in carrying out the learning process in the classroom is not only proficient enough in carrying out lesson planning and its implementation. However, it is also very necessary to understand and practice assessment and evaluation techniques in the learning process. Important assessment and evaluation is carried out to review the development of students.
In order to provide physics teachers with provisions regarding the implementation of learning assessment and evaluation, the team of lecturers from the Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Yogyakarta State University (UNY) held training on the preparation and analysis of physics test items, Thursday (03/8/2023) at Teleconference Room, Sugeng Mardiyono Building, Postgraduate School, UNY. This training was delivered by a team consisting of Prof. Dr. Drs. Edi Istiyono, M.Si., Prof. Dr. Mundilarto, M.Pd., Dr. Drs. Supahar, M.Sc., Irvany Nurita Pebriana, M.Pd., and Tsania Nur Diyana, M.Pd.
As many as 26 representatives of Physics teachers in the Physics Subject Teacher Consultation (MGMP) Forum for Madrasah Aliyah in the Special Region of Yogyakarta participated in this training. The training activities were carried out in 3 stages, namely presentation of material related to diagnostic tests in modern physics learning by Prof. Dr. Edi Istiyono, M.Sc. followed by discussion in groups related to filling in the rubric for determining the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) through an analysis of several physics assessment items. After the discussion, it was continued with the delivery of material related to the determination of the passing criteria reference limit (standard setting).
Mr Warjo, S.Pd, M.Pd. the Yogyakarta MAN 1 Physics teacher who is also the head of the DIY MA Physics MGMP welcomed this activity and fully supported it. “Training activities like this are very beneficial for us. Hopefully every year similar activities can be carried out to add to our insights in the process of evaluating learning in class, especially for physics subjects," said Pak Warjo.
